Ashley Canada is currently seeking a Warehouse Merchandise Handler (In Store) for our Guelph store located at 389 Woodlawn Rd W.

This position is being posted to fill an immediate staffing need within the department. We are actively seeking qualified candidates who can step into the role and contribute to the team as soon as possible.

Employment Status: This position will commence as a permanent full-time role for an initial period of approximately four (4) to six (6) months while covering an employee on leave. Upon the return of the employee from leave the position will transition to a permanent part-time role with a regular schedule of sixteen (16) hours per week subject to business needs.

As a Warehouse Merchandise Handler (In Store) you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of visual presentation for our home furnishing products in our stores.

As a Warehouse Merchandise Handler (In Store) you will:

• Provide efficient and accurate support related to visual presentation warehousing customer service pickups movement of goods & merchandising
• Be responsible for store maintenance - including the exterior of the building
• Receive product and prepare outbound shipments
• Prepare product for floor placement or delivery
• Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation
• Load and unload freight trailers
• Keep the warehouse area organized and clean

As a successful candidate you will have the following:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 6 months to 1-year related experience an asset
• Ability to work during retail hours (days evenings weekends and holidays)
• Experience with MS Office products and ability to learn in-house inventory management system
• Physically fit able to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.
