Job Description

The Role
As a member of the technical services team, reporting to the chief structural engineer. You will provide structural engineering support to provide technical solutions to Cameco site operations, projects, and other business units.

In this role, you will:
-Be responsible for scope development, planning, and cost estimating to support business cases over the asset life cycle.
-Work with structural and architectural designers for CAD work in support of development of 3D models and 2D drawings including all construction details.
-Develop and revise technical specification, work on scope of supply, BOMs, MTOs, CWPs and construction work packages.
-Develop technical memos and/or structural condition assessment reports as required.
-Inspect completed structural projects for compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
-Prepare work schedules and allocate resources, as well as supervise junior engineers, technicians, and contractors.
-Be responsible for ensuring that the design work is done in accordance with Camecos processes, procedures, standards, design criteria, and regulatory requirements.
-Provide strong leadership and work with minimal direction within a multi-discipline team.

Required:  
-Bachelors degree in civil/structural engineering
-Seven to 12 years of relevant work experience
-Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation
-Eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) & Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
-Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
-Self-motivated, reliable, strong work ethic, natural enthusiasm and able to work independently
-Intermittent travel to Camecos northern Saskatchewan and/or Ontario sites by aircraft
