A recently established digital infrastructure firm, headquartered in Southeast Asia, focuses on developing advanced data facilities across key markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Having spun off from a larger tech entity, the company became fully independent recently, backed by a successful growth funding round. It specializes in constructing and managing high-performance computing environments that support a wide range of digital services and platforms relied on globally.

The Role

• Oversee monthly closing of the full set of accounts for the subsidiary, including preparation of management reports and financial analysis.
• Review expense documentation, process journal entries, and prepare financial statements to ensure timely and accurate expense reporting.
• Manage approval workflows for Japan subsidiaries, including employee reimbursement processes.
• Prepare and submit tax filings, including corporate tax returns, and coordinate with external auditors, corporate secretaries, and consultants for interim and annual audits.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls related to financial reporting; proactively identify areas for improvement and support change implementation.
• Perform other finance-related tasks and special assignments as needed.

Your Skills

• Holds a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, along with a recognized professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Brings over 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, ideally with a background in a global audit firm or a publicly listed company.
• Well-versed in group-level accounting practices, tax compliance, and internal control frameworks.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements is a plus. Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA is preferred. Demonstrates strong accuracy and analytical capability.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese, both written and verbal.
