Lead the accounting function for a dynamic global marketing agency in Tokyo. This is a full-time, permanent position.About the companyOur client is a globally recognized marketing and innovation agency renowned for its cutting-edge digital solutions and collaborative culture. The agency fosters a dynamic environment that values both individual contributions and collaborative teamwork.Role & ResponsibilitiesYou will be a key member of the finance team, partnering with the Senior Finance Manager and various stakeholders across departments. You will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the Japanese office, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance. You will be responsible for all aspects of accounts payable, working closely with vendors and internal teams. You'll get to leverage your skills in accounting systems and procedures, and play an active part in month-end/year-end close activities.Main tasks include-Process vendor setup forms and manage related inquiries.-Oversee the processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.-Code vendor invoices and reconcile general ledger accounts.-Prepare monthly payable accruals and conduct account analysis.-Assist with the implementation and review of revenue entries, in accordance with GAAP.-Conduct variance analysis and communicate key financial insights.-Support internal and external audits.-Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies.-Contribute to the annual financial audit process.Please note that we are unable to sponsor visas at this time. 求められる経験
Requirements
-Native-level fluency in Japanese and professional business-level English.
-5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within the advertising or marketing industry.
-Experience with integrated financial systems (knowledge of Vantage/SAP is a plus).
-Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable collaborating across departments and countries.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
-Possession of a 2nd grade or higher Nissho Boki certification.
