Village Ice Cream on an exciting journey to find our next Seasonal Assistant Store Manager at University District! This role requires a commitment from April to September 30. 

We’re looking for individuals who are empathetic, collaborative, skilled communicators, and of course passionate about the Customer Experience and operational excellence. As Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with your Store Manager to lead the implementation of an exceptional Customer Experience and efficient operational processes. As Assistant Store Manager with Village Ice Cream, you will:

• Assist in maintaining and managing a healthy team environment for your 8-20 Scoopers.
• Assist in training Scoopers and continually develop Scoopers’ skillsets.
• Stagger your work schedule with your Store Manager to maximize manager presence in the store.
• Help manage weekly shift schedules.
• Engage in regular performance management including scoop weighing, product knowledge tests and hospitality training.
• Facilitate strong working relationships between the front of house and back of house teams.
• Assist Store Manager in deep cleaning, repairs and maintenance, and general upkeep.
• Help manage store inventory and maintain strong working relationships with our suppliers and trades.
• Respond to and/or coordinate coverage during store emergencies and staffing shortages as required in the absence of your SM.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all departments including front of house, back of house, and leadership.
• Participate in company events, initiatives, and campaigns and contribute to employee engagement across both locations.
• Ensure all Scoopers follow Company policies as well as proper food health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Lead by example and reflect Village Ice Cream’s Purpose and Core Values.

• Have at least 1 year of customer service experience in a restaurant or retail environment

Our compensation offer for this role includes:

• $18.00/hour + Tips.
