Reporting to the Supervisor, Document Management, this position is responsible for the daily operation of print services by operating and maintaining a networked printing system in a timely, accurate and efficient manner to ensure internal and external client's needs are met toward achieving corporate objectives. In addition, this position is responsible for general administrative duties to support the Document Management team including vacation coverage. Your Print Production Operator and Administrative Coordinator responsibilities: - Receive daily print jobs via network and prepares documents for production. Review documents to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Operate finishing equipment including cutting, laminating and folding.
- Coordinate daily activities and print jobs in Print Services. Order supplies as necessary, including paper, toner, staples, etc.
- Assist with the preparation of Print Services' goals, objectives, and work plans for functions in Print Services.
- Provide consulting services, graphic design, typesetting and/or calculates costs of printing jobs for users.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships in order to provide Print Services advisory support to all levels of WCB staff.
- Verbal and written contact with all other departments related to printing management.
- Complete the monthly charge back allocation by entering completed print jobs into the charge back tracking system and distributing reports.
- Schedule maintenance/repairs on Print Services equipment as needed.
- Print paper signage inserts for work stations, work areas, floor directories and floor map's and processing any charge backs involved.
- Provide back-up/cover-off support for the Mail Center Work Coordinator.
- Adhere at all times to all WCB Health and Safety procedures, guidelines, established programs and safe work practices to minimize risk of workplace illness and injury.
- Other administrative duties as required.
- Participate in learning activities to keep abreast of changes in the field, including virtual and in office training as directed by supervisor.
- Participate and plan team meetings, functions and other activities.
- Maintains office supply inventory and requisitions needed for materials and office equipment for the department.
- Individual will work independently and solve daily or routine problems as they occur including understanding team dynamics and exercising good judgement with accountability for the output of quality administrative work in a timely fashion.
- Must be able to visualize a finished product. Taking into consideration the system capabilities, limitations and customer needs, deadlines and plans workflow.
Your experience and skills: - High school diploma, certification in desktop publishing or Office Administration.
- Minimum of five year's progressive experience in printing processes, three years in graphics design or supplemented by one-two years in printing and drafting,
- Must have full knowledge in the operation of high-speed printers.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on customer service.
- Skills and experience with personal computers, good understanding of graphic software programs e.g. Coral Draw, Photoshop, Illustrator, Full version of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft office (Word, Excel) and other software packages.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage jobs within the system while meeting deadlines and maintaining high productivity.
