Responsibilities:

1. Customer Focus:  Utilize customer, fashion, competitor, and selling insights to develop the best customer offer and contribute with fit, size, and body-focused expertise.
2. Goals & Strategies:  Align with BU and function goals to manage the fit and size strategy, identify and act on fit and size opportunities, and set a strategy with inclusiveness and diversity in mind.
3. Product & Assortment:  Create and use pre-worked materials efficiently, communicate fitting guidelines and technical instructions to production, and ensure diversity in fit and consistency in size.
4. Leadership & Process:  Lead fitting sessions, optimize construction efficiency, collaborate with production and suppliers, and support and mentor junior pattern makers.
5. General Information:  Provide input on suitable size offers during product development and take ownership of learning and developing improved ways of working.

Qualifications

:

• Proven experience in pattern making and fit strategy.
• Strong understanding of customer insights and fashion trends.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Commitment to inclusiveness and diversity in design.

Qualifications

• 3-year formal education in pattern making or equivalent and 3-year work experience withing pattern making 
• Customer centric mindset with clear understanding of the target customer(s) •
• Well-developed skills to combine free design with rules to achieve the desired product
• Well-developed pattern maker skills. - Knowledge of developing and securing fit in a variety of product types in all sizes / Knowledge of sewing techniques, finishes and technical solutions / Knowledge of material and trim characteristics and how they affect fit and silhouette / Strong technical skills to complete the technical package for production&suppliers / In-depth knowledge of the ready to wear process and how it affects to our way of working 
• In depth knowledge of body and grading 
• Understanding of the production process and how garments are made 
• Need to proficiently handle relevant tools and systems 
• Demonstrated communication and collaboration skill

Additional Information

This is a Part-time position , reporting to Leader of Asia Hub Office.
Specific work location will be Tokyo, Japan.
