Junior Staff Accountant & Admin Assistant (Entry-Level)

Location: Remote (Canada-based preferred) Schedule: Part-time or full-time | Flexible hours with availability between 9 AM - 5 PM EST for meetings and training

About the Role

This is an entry-level role for someone who wants to build their skills in accounting, administration, and digital tools. You'll get hands-on experience supporting client work while also helping with the behind-the-scenes operations of a modern accounting firm.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Assisting with bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks Online (training provided)
• Helping clean up and organize messy financial records
• Uploading and organizing documents in Google Drive or Dext
• Supporting the preparation of basic financial reports
• Helping create and update internal documents or spreadsheets
• Performing basic admin duties , such as data entry, inbox clean-up, and tracking deadlines
• Uploading or editing short videos or visuals using Canva or Descript (we'll teach you!)
• Joining client and team meetings, taking notes, and assisting with follow-ups

What We're Looking For:

• A fast learner who's interested in accounting and business
• Basic comfort with computers and tools like Google Sheets, Gmail, and other modern software
• A good communicator who asks questions and follows through
• Someone who is organized, reliable, and can meet deadlines

Bonus Points (Not Required):

• You've taken some accounting or business courses
• You've worked in an office, admin, or customer service setting before
• You've played around with Canva, Descript, QuickBooks Online, or similar tools

• A quiet workspace
• A laptop or computer with at least 8GB of RAM
• High-speed internet
• Webcam and mic for meetings
• Two monitor setup for maximum productivity
