Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join our Doubletree by Hilton Atlanta Dunwoody as our Director of Sales. Do you enjoy meeting new people, driving sales, and witnessing the fruits of your labor? We're looking for a dedicated director of sales to assist the hotel in reaching its sales targets. You'll be in charge of developing our sales strategy and goals, training and assessing our sales force, collaborating with sales managers, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business from various hotel sectors.   • Formulate sales strategies that sustain high levels of occupancy and profitability in collaboration with department managers and their goals
  • Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectives
  • Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures
  • Boost revenue and increase new guest visits through strategic outbound sales efforts that may include phone solicitation to local professionals, corporations, and members of your personal network
  • Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
  • Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Exemplary communication skills, leadership skills, and analytical skills
  • Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required
  • Must have relevant experience of 5+ years as a sales professional, preferably in the hospitality field
