Job Description
Arun Language Training & Recruitment are recruiting graduates of any discipline to teach English to children at private English language schools located throughout Taiwan. Taipei, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Keelung, PingDong and many other locations. Teachers enter Taiwan on a 90-day visit visa available on arrival and convert to a work permit in country after arrival. Documents DO NOT need to be apostilled prior to arrival in Taiwan, greatly facilitating arrival. On entry to Taiwan candidates must have with them a hard copy of their university degree and a recent national background check (minor offences permitted).
Hotel and meals are provided by the school from arrival and throughout the 9 day training period.
Currently, due to visa restrictions, we can only recruit candidates from the following six countries: USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK and Ireland. Start in the month that suits you. Start dates are currently scheduled for April - October 2025.
REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor’s Degree or US Associate Degree
- Candidates with a US Associate Degree will need to have or obtain a TEFL certificate.
- Those with a Bachelor's Degree do not require a TEFL certificate.
- Candidates must have a hard copy of their degree certificate.
- Candidates must be able to obtain a national criminal background check. (FBI in USA; DBS or ACRO in UK; RCMP in Canada; Garda statement in Ireland) - minor offences permitted. Must be less than six months old.
- Candidates' passports should be valid for 2 years or more at the time of applying.
- No online degrees. Degrees must be predominantly on-campus degrees.
The school is looking for enthusiastic and dynamic graduates with a genuine love of working with children.
Candidates must be flexible to work with children of all ages from pre-school to 16 years of age.
SALARY & BENEFITS: Hourly Pay:
Starting pay rate range of NTD $600 – 730 per hour based on previous teaching qualifications.
Teachers may expect to earn between 56,000 NTD per month for teachers on guaranteed minimum hours (20) up to around 75,000 NTD per month for teachers on 26 hours per week. Earnings may be dependant on experience and qualifications and are subject to local taxes.
Teaching Duties Stipend in some schools.
NT $3000 per month for class preparation work - e.g. for meetings, training, class preparation, etc.
First contract completion bonus: 10,000 NTD
No office hours. > Guaranteed hours - guaranteed minimum of 20 teaching hours per week - teachers may teach up to 26 teaching hours per week
