Job Description

This is a strategic leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for the full finance function and will play a critical part in financial planning, board-level reporting, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking, and hands-on financial expertise within the iGaming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategy alignment
• Deliver timely, data-driven financial reports, dashboards, and board-level presentations
• Build and present feasibility studies, investment proposals, and financial models to support new initiatives
• Present budgets, forecasts, and performance insights to shareholders and senior stakeholders
• Analyse and identify operational inefficiencies, commercial risks, and areas for value creation
• Use financial modelling and scenario analysis to challenge executive assumptions and drive decision-making
• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership aligning finance with product, tech, and commercial goals
• Lead and influence cross-departmental collaboration to ensure financial visibility across the organisation
• Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and structures to support scalability and compliance
• Lead financial due diligence, scenario planning, and analysis for M&A, restructuring, or investor discussions
• Educate non-financial stakeholders to embed financial awareness into operational decision-making

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Finance Director or a Senior Financial Controller ready to transition into a director-level role
• Solid background in iGaming (provider side preferred) is a must.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, risk management, and strategic financial modelling
• Experience presenting to board-level stakeholders and engaging with shareholders
• Hands-on experience in budget ownership, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
• High level of proficiency in financial tools and systems (e.g., Excel, BI tools, accounting platforms)
• Commercial mindset with strong attention to operational and strategic detail
• Based in Malta or open to relocation (hybrid working model available)
