Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Lowell, Arkansas. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and data management. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accurate records, handling invoices, and supporting the overall efficiency of the accounting department. Responsibilities: - Process and verify invoices for accuracy and ensure proper approvals for accounts payable transactions. - Manage payment processing through checks, electronic transfers, and other financial systems. - Maintain vendor records and address discrepancies or inquiries promptly. - Generate and send invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. - Post customer payments and perform regular account reconciliations for accounts receivable. - Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue balances to facilitate collections. - Input financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets with exceptional accuracy. - Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and sub-ledgers to ensure consistency. - Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reporting. - Support the accounting team with special projects and ensure compliance with company policies. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. - At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role. - Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications. - Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. - Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with vendors and clients.
