Company Profile

• A leading FinTech company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its growing team in Tokyo. This role sits within the Finance & Accounting division and offers exposure to both domestic and international accounting operations.

The Role

• Perform monthly and annual closing activities under both JGAAP and USGAAP standards.
• Manage accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and coordinate closely with overseas finance teams.
• Support statutory audits, SOX compliance, and tax filings.
• Analyze accounting and tax implications for new transactions and business initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Your Skills

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a Japanese or global company.
• Practical experience in closing processes and audit support.
• Hands-on experience with tax filings and regulatory compliance.
• Full proficiency in Japanese.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
• Nissho Boki Level 2 or higher.
• Must have a valid work permit for Japan.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP, Freee, Slack.
• Background in the financial services or payment industry.
• Prior exposure to working with overseas parent companies.
