Welding Supervisor

Sharonville, OH

Established in 2013, Excel Loading Systems is the fastest growing loading arm company in the world, and as part of the business’ strategic growth, we are looking for full-time, highly skilled Welding Supervisor to join our team in Sharonville, Ohio. The Welding Supervisor oversees all welding operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality in the welding department. This role involves managing a team of welders, maintaining compliance with industry standards, developing processes to optimize performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Pay: Starting at $28/hour, offer dependent on experience

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday
• 6 AM – 4:30 PM
• Friday is OT

The right candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training or certifications preferred (e.g., Certified Welding Inspector - CWI)
• Minimum of 5 years of welding experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored)
• Strong understanding of welding codes, standards, and safety practices
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues effectively
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols

Our Welding Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Plan, organize, and oversee all welding activities to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
• Develop and implement welding techniques, procedures, and applications to improve productivity and reduce defects.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality control) to align welding operations with broader production goals.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate welding personnel to ensure skills remain current and productivity is optimized.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure team adherence to safety and quality protocols.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the welding department.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, welding codes, and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME).
• Conduct regular safety training and inspections to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the welding area.
• Monitor welding quality and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to resolve any welding-related defects or issues.
• Ensure all welding work complies with customer specifications, codes, and standards.
• Manage inventory levels of welding materials, equipment, and consumables.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance and repair of welding equipment to minimize downtime.
