Join the CSHO Board of Directors

Help Shape the Future of Affordable Housing in Cochrane

The Cochrane Society for Housing Options (CSHO) is seeking volunteer board members with experience in any of the following areas:
- Property development
- Housing policy
- Finance or accounting (CPA designation an asset)
- Municipal or housing law

As a board member, you will support CSHO’s mission to expand access to affordable housing in Cochrane. Board responsibilities include strategic oversight, fiduciary stewardship, and risk governance. Directors participate in monthly board meetings (except July and August) and contribute to one or more committees (e.g., Finance, Fund Development, Governance).

We are particularly seeking individuals with:
- Professional designations in finance, law, or real estate
- Knowledge of Alberta’s housing system or nonprofit governance
- Commitment to housing equity and community development
- Residency within Cochrane or surrounding area (including Calgary, within 25 km radius)
