Role and Facility Information
Williams Lake Williams Lake is in BC’s Central Interior Region, otherwise known as the Cariboo Chilcotin Region, and is famous for the annual Williams Lake Stampede. There is a population of approximately 35,000 in Williams Lake and surrounding areas with a total population of 62,000 for the Cariboo Regional District. A vast array of lakes, rivers and hiking and biking trails, makes Williams Lake and the surrounding area a great place for outdoor enthusiasts to camp, fish, hunt and play during the summer months while winter months bring the enjoyment of snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, and ice fishing for the winter months. Williams Lake has something for everyone.
Cariboo Memorial Hospital Cariboo Memorial is under renovation with planned completion of 2026! Currently, CMH is a Level 2 Community Hospital in Williams Lake with 28 inpatient beds. CMH hospital offers ER, OR, Med-Surg, and Obstetrical units. Lab and diagnostic imaging and outpatient Hemodialysis Unit are operated on-site. The CMH redevelopment project includes an addition to the existing hospital as well as renovations to the existing facility. The addition will add 25 in-patient beds for a total of 53, a new emergency department and mental-health unit.
Practice Details Cariboo Memorial Hospital is looking for a part-time Urologist. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
The candidate we seek will be competent with full scope of general urologic practice, and we will give additional preference to a candidate with experience in reconstructive urology and management of complex incontinence.

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 12.32% Retention Flat Fee $19,092 Relocation Funding Available $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location Recruitment Incentive $3,750.00 (based on 0.25 FTE) Other Benefits/Incentives Rural CME: max of $4,840 after 4 years in practice Rural Incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for BC or Canada loan forgiveness programs.
