POSITION OVERVIEWSeeking an experienced Application Manager to oversee all application areas, from understanding the business needs and objectives of different departments within the organization, ensuring that IT solutions are designed and implemented to meet those requirements, running the projects, maintenance of our organization's software applications, and budgeting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, working with Headquarters, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the applications align with business objectives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Team Management:Recruit, train, and supervise a team of developers and support staff. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and productivity. Conduct performance evaluations and manage team resources effectively.2. IT Project Management, Application Development and Maintenance Define project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements. Lead cross-functional IT projects that support business objectives. Ensure the successful execution of IT projects, from initiation to completion.Plan and execute application development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Ensure applications are regularly updated and maintained to meet performance and security standards. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner.3. Business Alignment, Stakeholder Relationship Management and Solution Design and Delivery:Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges, and IT needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with business units, acting as a trusted advisor.Translate business objectives into IT strategies and solutions.Align technology initiatives with the overall corporate strategy. Proactively identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements. Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries and issues. Work with HQ IT teams to design and implement technology solutions that meet business requirements.4. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive documentation for applications, including user manuals, technical specifications, and change logs. Generate regular reports on application performance, project status, and key metrics.5. Risk Management and Compliance:Collaborate with compliance and security teams to ensure IT solutions meet regulatory and security requirements. Identify and mitigate technology-related risks that may affect business operations.6. Vendor Management:Evaluate and select technology vendors and partners. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements. Evaluate and select third-party software vendors and manage vendor relationships.SCOPE OF POSITIONDivision wide: Involved in tasks/duties that affect the entire division in which the position resides.NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS: 3REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field Minimum of 3 years working experience in the retail or luxury industry.Proven experience as an Application Manager, IT Business Partner, or in a similar role.Proven experience in project management, successfully delivering complex projects within scope, budget, and schedule.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Strong understanding of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.Strong technical background in software development and application architecture.Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges effectively.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Business level of English Fluent JapaneseExcellent customer service skills.Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
