Stettler is located in the Heart of Alberta, just 179 km southeast of Edmonton and 101 km east of Red Deer. It serves as a regional hub with a main trading area involving over 11,000 people. The town has a wide assortment of community facilities including an elementary/junior high school, a composite high school, a library, twin arenas, an aquatic centre, a performing arts theatre, and much more. The area also has a few golf courses and is close to Buffalo Lake. Stettler Hospital boasts a twenty-six bed Medical / Surgical Inpatient Unit that includes one Palliative and two LDRP suites as well as two monitored close observation beds. Additionally, there is an eight bed Emergency Room and a Surgical / Endoscopy Program. Successful candidate will perform Unit Clerk duties and staff scheduling duties.
Description:
As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.

Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications: As required.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of Unit Clerk / scheduling experience. Experience with WFM and scheduling processes. Knowledge of the collective agreements pertaining to scheduling.
