Royal Oak Nissan is seeking professional and certified Journeyman Technicians to join their team!

Experienced third- or fourth-year apprentices are also welcome to apply for this role! 

Journeyman Technicians are responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repairs accurately to prevent the vehicle from returning to the shop with similar concerns and ensuring customer safety. The Journeyman Technician will perform quality diagnostic and repair work and contribute to a positive overall customer experience that exceeds expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and are working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Efficiently and accurately diagnose and repair vehicles
• Use machine tools, such as grinding machines and lathes, to rebuild brakes
• Inspect motor operation, road test vehicles, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Automotive service technician trade certification
• Out of province inspection certified an asset
• Positive attitude
• Efficient problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and ensure quality and quantity of work meets expectations
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s license

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, and rotating Saturdays

Pay: $35.00 an hour, flat rate
