Job Opportunity: Surgical Technologist (CST)
Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 shifts/week
Duration: 13-Week Assignment
Compensation:
Up to $1,980 weekly for local candidates (within 50 miles)
Up to $2,275 weekly for travelers (outside 50 miles)
We are seeking an experienced and certified Surgical Technologist for a rewarding 13-week night shift assignment in Cooperstown, NY. The ideal candidate will be skilled in supporting surgical procedures and maintaining sterile environments in high-pressure settings.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare operating rooms with surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes
Verify sterilization and functionality of equipment prior to procedures
Assist surgical teams by passing instruments and maintaining sterile techniques
Monitor and maintain the integrity of the sterile field throughout operations
Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts pre- and post-procedure
Handle and label surgical specimens accurately for lab analysis
Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures
Follow all facility policies, safety protocols, and compliance regulations
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT
Current BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of surgical experience
Expertise in aseptic and sterile techniques
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stay focused and effective under pressure
