Your Role

• Lead and contribute to the design and development of scalable backend systems using Scala and other modern languages.
• Drive projects from requirements gathering through to implementation, testing, and operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with external APIs and financial products.
• Mentor team members and help set technical direction.
• Continuously improve system reliability, security, and performance.

What We're Looking For

• Solid experience in backend development with languages such as Scala, Java, Kotlin, Rust or interest in Functional Programming
• Proven ability to design new systems and enhance existing applications.
• Strong communication skills in English; Japanese is a plus but not required.
• Experience in Fintech or with functional programming is highly valued.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset and a drive to make a difference.

• 8 million yen - 12 million yen
