ABOUT THE JOB:

We are seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to join our Learning and Development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, excellent communication skills, and a passion for leadership development and performance management. The Senior Instructional Designer will lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative instructional materials and programs that enhance
leadership capabilities and drive performance excellence across the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Instructional Design and Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs, including e-learning modules, instructor-led courses, job aids, and blended learning solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Leadership and Performance Management Development: Develop engaging and comprehensive training programs focused on leadership development, performance management and employee engagement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior leaders and managers to ensure alignment of training programs with business objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback and promote training initiatives.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to junior instructional designers and functional training team members. Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions to equip leaders and SMEs the skills to deliver training effectively.
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Design and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Use data-driven insights to enhance curriculum and instructional design based on learner feedback and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate training sessions as needed, both virtually and in-person.
  • Leverage learning management systems (preferably SuccessFactors) to deploy and track training initiatives.
  • Support other learning and development initiatives as needed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, with a focus on leadership and performance management development.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing successful training programs for leadership development.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex relationships and collaborate across various departments
  • Relevant experience working with workforce in the field, understanding the unique challenges and learning needs of this workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Adobe XD) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Experience with SuccessFactors a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated creativity in designing engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
