Senior Project Manager-Government Sector x4:

On behalf of our Government client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Manager-Government Sector x4 for a 10 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with occasional onsite meetings at our client’s Orillia office.

Senior Project Manager-Government Sector x4 - Job Description:

This role involves critical project management for high-profile OPS I&IT initiatives. The Senior Project Manager will lead large-scale, complex projects within the public sector, ensuring that deliverables meet clients’ business requirements on time, within scope, and budget.

Senior Project Manager-Government Sector x4 - Responsibilities:

• Provides project management on large-scale, complex, high-profile, and high-risk projects for OPS I&IT initiatives.
• Ensures project deliverables meet business requirements with a focus on cost-effectiveness and compliance with OPS methodologies.
• Promotes OPS I&IT standards and best practices for project management.
• Manages client relationships, particularly in government/NGO environments.
• Develops requirements to create and maintain detailed project schedules and plans.
• Monitors and forecasts project costs, ensuring targets are met.
• Directs project teams to deliver on time and adhere to government and ministry standards.

Senior Project Manager-Government Sector x4 - Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years’ IT Project Manager experience, leading projects.
• 5+ years’ experience writing project documentation.
• 5+ years’ experience in process optimization.
• Public Sector Experience: Broader Public Sector required.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex projects in the public sector.
• Client relationship management in government or NGO environments.

Senior Project Manager-Government Sector x4 – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of Project Management Institute’s Body of Knowledge.
• Understanding of Information Management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related standards.
• Experience in managing and coordinating project monitoring.
• Ability to manage multiple streams of work in a fast-paced environment.
