Client Profile

A fast-growing global renewable energy company is seeking a Senior Reporting Manager to lead its financial reporting function in Japan. As the organization expands its footprint across APAC, this role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely, and strategic reporting across business units. You'll oversee a large-sized finance team and be the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and global headquarters.

The Role

• Own the end-to-end reporting cycle for the Japan market-financial, operational, and regulatory.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, development) to gather, analyze, and consolidate data.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting to regional and global stakeholders.
• Improve and streamline reporting processes through automation and systems development.
• Prepare board-level materials and investor reports.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Japanese regulatory reporting requirements.

Skills

• 7+ years of experience in finance, reporting, or audit roles, ideally in energy, infrastructure, or multinational settings.
• Strong analytical, Excel, and data visualization skills; ERP/BI tools experience is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in both Japanese and English-written and verbal.
• CPA or similar professional certification is a plus.
