SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) - Cashless Business Platform (Fukuoka / Hybrid)

We are hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support the quality and reliability of a growing cashless payment platform for businesses. This product enables companies to streamline expense management using real and virtual business cards, supporting operational efficiency and digitization.

This role is based at our Fukuoka development center, which plays a central role in service expansion. Candidates must be willing to work onsite multiple days per week under our hybrid work model.

We are also offering a UI-turn relocation support program, including a relocation allowance of up to ¥500,000 for eligible engineers moving to Fukuoka (conditions apply).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated test scripts for both functional and non-functional testing
• Execute API tests using real environments (no mock)
• Build and maintain test pipelines within CI/CD
• Plan and refine test strategies aligned with product goals
• Review code and test cases, covering edge scenarios

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in either software development or automated testing with scripting languages
• Interest in quality assurance and test automation
• Conversational Japanese (N3 level or equivalent; tools allowed for internal communication)
• Business-level English (TOEIC 700+ or equivalent); capable of participating in English meetings and documentation from day one

Preferred:

• Degree or equivalent knowledge in computer science or information engineering
• Experience writing high-precision test specifications
• Familiarity with AI development or AI tools used to improve engineering workflows

• CI/CD: CircleCI, GitHub Actions
• Monitoring: DataDog, Rollbar
• Communication: Slack / Jira
