Job Description

The Database Administrator role focuses on designing, transforming, and managing data systems to support decision-making processes through the development of data warehouses, data marts, and reporting tools. Responsibilities include building database architecture, cleaning and transforming legacy data, writing SQL scripts, creating mappings and transformation rules, and supporting Power BI visualizations. The position requires deep knowledge of database technologies, data standards, and relational models, along with the ability to develop documentation and ensure accurate, efficient, and scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities
•Design and develop data architecture for new databases
•Clean, transform, and migrate data from legacy systems into new data warehouses

•Develop and document data standards, transformation rules, and data mappings
•Create and maintain connections with multiple external data sources
•Support Power BI report building and data visualization initiatives
•Monitor and enforce database integrity, performance, and design standards
•Create a comprehensive data dictionary and ensure documentation of all standards
•Build and test automated validation tools to ensure data quality
•Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications
•Proven experience with one or more database technologies
•Proficiency in SQL with experience writing complex scripts
•Subject matter expertise in data warehouse and data mart design
•Strong background in data standardization, dimensional modeling, and data architecture
•Experience with Power BI, Excel, and other desktop analysis tools
•Ability to develop documentation and communicate data requirements clearly
•Familiarity with data cleaning, transformation, and legacy data alignment
