Located in scenic Vancouver, we are looking for a versatile and experienced Senior Artist to join our creative force. Role Overview:  

As a Senior Artist, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing our art pipeline. This position is perfect for a generalist looking to impact every aspect of our artistic process, from modeling and texturing to rigging, animating, and creating captivating VFX particle systems. You will also mentor junior artists, helping them refine their skills and foster their professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the art pipeline in collaboration with the Art Director and Technical Team.
• Create high-quality 3D models, textures, animations, and VFX particle systems.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior artists, ensuring high standards of art quality.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure art assets are fully optimized for performance.
• Experiment with artistic techniques to push the creative boundaries of our VR projects.
• Participate in regular reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve product quality.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Art Generalist within the gaming or related industries.
• Strong portfolio showcasing skills in modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation.
• Expertise in Unity, Blender, and Substance 3D.
• Experience designing and implementing VFX particle systems.
• Strong understanding of the technical aspects of art production for real-time engines.
• Excellent mentoring skills and experience leading small to medium-sized teams.
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience in virtual reality (VR) and/or augmented reality (AR) projects.
• Familiarity with other 3D and graphic software is a plus.

Location:  

This role offers flexible work arrangements, with a preference for candidates in the Vancouver area. Remote candidates in similar time zones may also be considered.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary ($75,000 - $100,000), 3 weeks vacation + winter holiday closure, competitive group benefits.
