What is the opportunity?
RBC is seeking Olympic and Para athletes across Canada to join the RBC Olympians program. This national initiative provides elite Canadian athletes with an opportunity to gain financial support and career development skills, in a flexible work/partnership environment that prioritizes the time necessary for athletes to train and compete on the world stage.
Athletes will partner with RBC on various national and regional initiatives, engage with RBC employees and clients and inspire communities with messages of commitment, excellence, teamwork and leadership while championing RBC’s support of Team Canada, Canadian athletes and the Olympic movement. RBC Olympians will also be integrated through various speaking engagements, in-person and virtual appearances at RBC-sponsored events, and act as an RBC ambassador on social media.
For those who are interested and qualify, select RBC Olympians have the option to take on in-office work experience in RBC’s regional marketing and communications departments in roles tailored around the athlete’s career goals and athletic schedule.
This exciting opportunity begins October 6th, 2025.
What will you do?
You will represent RBC through a number of appearances or public speaking engagements where you will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse audiences. You are a creative individual with the ability to easily share your life stories and experiences with youth, RBC employees, clients, and other stakeholders.
In addition to the community outreach role, select individuals will have the opportunity to work in RBC corporate offices across the country, garnering valuable career development experience in the process. Successful candidates will work with Marketing, Communications, and/or Corporate Citizenship teams, supporting with relevant duties as required. Work arrangements will be flexible, however, you should be able to clearly articulate your scheduling needs in regards to training and competition, and must commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week (in-office or remotely).

Experience using Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail, PowerPoint and Excel, depending on the role
Nice-to-have:
Previous Olympic Games experience and/or international competition results
Experience engaging youth in sport and leadership
Experience with public speaking including the development and delivery of key messages
Experience working with the media
