Python/Angular Developer Description

Responsibilities

• Working on Python applications, requiring strong Python experience
• Utilizing AWS technologies (S3, EKS, RDS, MWAA, OpenSearch)
• Having experience with databases and SQL to manage multiple tables connecting to RDS using Python
• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
• Architect and guide the development of end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale over AWS
• Develop robust APIs and ensure seamless integration between various platform components
• Estimate work timelines and deliver on those commitments
• Identify problems and risks in your work and the work of others, proactively addressing issues as they arise

Requirements

• Proficient with Angular for front-end development and Python for back-end systems
• Proven experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs with Python
• Familiarity with best practices like TDD and BDD
• Strong knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Hands-on experience in unit and integration testing
• In-depth experience with version control systems (preferably GitLab)
• Collaboration Tools: Confident using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
• Exceptional debugging and optimization skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial industry, particularly in investment banking
• Expertise in defining high-level architectures, including network topology (VPC), compute resources (EC2 instances), storage solutions (S3, EBS), and security controls
• AWS knowledge and certifications

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, training, the demand for the role, skillset, and overall business and local labour market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: CA$125K - CA$160K.
