Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Manage project scope, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively address issues.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
- Track project progress, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project related communications with stakeholders in both Japanese and English.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between project teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Conduct regular project meetings, prepare meeting agendas and minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Translate technical and business requirements between Japanese and English as needed.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, and monitor their progress.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Escalate critical issues to management as needed.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
- Implement quality control processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular quality reviews.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Provide regular project updates and solicit feedback from stakeholders
Job Qualification:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field . PMP or other relevant project management certification is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, with a proven track record of successfully delivering IT software projects.
- Experience managing projects in a Japanese business environment is required.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Skills:
- Language Proficiency: Native or near native fluency in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking). JLPT N1 certification is a plus.
- Project Management: Strong project planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling skills.
Language Skills: Fluent level Japanese (N1 and above) and Business level English
