The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a driven Product Sales Specialist to join our team in Calgary, Alberta . As the Product Sales Specialist you will be responsible for the planning and execution of sales and business development in your assigned territory, with a focus on selling industrial cleaning equipment (sweepers and scrubbers). This position will be based out of our Calgary branch, however; you will spend most of your time meeting with potential clients outside of the office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Product Sales Specialist your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the sales strategy in your assigned territory, including prospecting for new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
  • Conducting on-site equipment demonstrations and presentations
  • Developing expertise in selling industrial cleaning solutions
  • Tracking pertinent customer information in CRM
  • Managing client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle
  • Delivering data-driven, customized, and solution-oriented sales pitches

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an outside sales role, ideally in a comparable industry (construction, industrial, machinery, or comparable)
  • Prior experience in industrial cleaning equipment sales a strong asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • High motivation and resilience, with the ability to consistently achieve goals while operating both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, negotiation skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Travel within the territory as needed

The compensation package for this role is: $50,000 annually, plus uncapped commission.
