Odyssey is pioneering world models, the next frontier of artificial intelligence. By learning from the real-world, Odyssey is training a new kind of generative model, capable of generating cinematic, interactive worlds in real-time. Odysseys mission is to reinvent film, gaming, and beyond. Odyssey was founded in late 2023 by Oliver Cameron (Cruise, Voyage) and Jeff Hawke (Wayve, Oxford AI PhD), two veterans of self-driving cars and AI. Theyve since recruited a world-class team of AI researchers from Cruise, Waymo, Wayve, Tesla, Microsoft, Meta, and NVIDIA; lead computer graphics researchers from EA, Ubisoft, and Valve; and technical artists behind Hollywood blockbusters like Dune, Godzilla, Avengers, and Jurassic World.
Odyssey has raised significant venture capital from GV, EQT Ventures, Air Street Capital, DCVC, Elad Gil, Garry Tan, Soleio, Jeff Dean, Kyle Vogt, Qasar Younis, Guillermo Rauch, Soumith Chintala, and researchers from OpenAI, DeepMind, Meta, and Midjourney. Ed Catmull, the founder of Pixar, serves on Odysseys board.
About The Role Were searching for an experienced and technical Product Designer, who will be integral in pioneering novel experiences powered by state-of-the-art generative models. This person is a builder with a strong track-record of delivering beautiful products, who can code, and who can transform technical potential into realized, revolutionary experiences. Youll be integral to Odyssey, from initial ideation to final execution, working closely with engineers, researchers, and our founders.

- You can code and contribute directly to frontend experiences.
- You have pushed Figma to the limits many times over.
- You know how to validate complex assumptions with prototypes and code.
- You have a knack for experimenting with and embracing new tools and technologies.
In This Role, You Will - Lead design end-to-end for Odyssey, responsible delivering beautiful experiences that users love.
- Invent novel interactions that unlock new capabilities from generative models.
- Build and own our design system, identity, and how we present ourselves to the world.
- Prototype concepts rapidly in Figma and code, validating assumptions with users.
- Obsess over the small details, driving a culture that highly values design.
