The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the full scope of the supply chain function, from sourcing and vendor management to logistics and ERP system optimization. This role plays a vital part in maintaining production efficiency and ensuring the resilience and cost-effectiveness of supply chain operations.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives and support efficient production.
  • Lead all procurement operations, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
  • Oversee inventory planning and logistics to ensure on-time availability of materials while controlling costs.
  • Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to optimize procurement processes and drive operational improvements.
  • Collaborate across departments to align procurement with production, finance, and corporate goals.
  • Optimize ERP system usage and supply chain digital tools for accurate planning and visibility.
  • Manage risks related to supplier reliability, cost fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure all procurement practices comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Coach and lead cross-functional teams to promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline (MBA or Master's is an asset).
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role with proven results in improving supply chain operations.
  • Expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and contract negotiation.
  • Skilled in using data to drive decisions and process improvements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build alignment, and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on cost efficiency, compliance, and resilience.
