Job Title: Physical Therapist – Rehab Department (Per Diem)
Location: Passaic County, NJ
Contract Type: As and On Need Basis
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30-min unpaid meal break)
Working Days: Monday – Friday | Hours per day: 8.0 | Total Hours per week: 40.0
Weekend Pay: Normal base rate | Holiday Pay: 1.5x base rate
Pay Rate: $60 – $65/hour (based on experience)
Must be registered as a Physical Therapist by the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapists.
Administer varied types of physical therapy treatments to restore function, prevent disability, and optimize performance.
Evaluate residents to determine the appropriate physical therapy treatment plan.
Observe and document residents’ progress and response to therapy interventions.
Work collaboratively with nursing staff, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, safety, and techniques to support recovery and independence.
Adhere to all clinical and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
Valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license (required).
Strong knowledge of therapy methods, equipment, and precautionary measures.
Ability to assess, treat, and monitor residents effectively.
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting is preferred.
