Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales Representative to join our team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales initiatives and fostering strong client relationships. Your responsibilities will include promoting our comprehensive range of industrial equipment, providing technical expertise, and delivering tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our customers. Additionally, you will oversee efficient office operations, making it an ideal fit for candidates who are detail-oriented and passionate about sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients through regular communication and exceptional customer service while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to customers, addressing inquiries and recommending suitable solutions
  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities to generate leads and expand our customer base
  • Follow up on leads and provide timely responses to customer inquiries via phone, fax, or email, including after-hours on-call rotation
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Generate proposals and orders tailored to client needs and product offerings
  • Manage shipping and receiving duties in collaboration with team members to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of products and services
  • Assembly and Repair of some of the products we handle
  • Maintaining inventory databases and ordering replacement product
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to showcase the benefits of our products and services
  • Assist with trade show displays and attend trade shows as required
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify areas for growth and improvement

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Technology or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the industrial supplies or factory equipment sector
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of industrial products and applications
  • Experience working with mechanical power transmission preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player willing to both receive coaching and provide support to others
  • Valid driver's license required
