Job Description

On-Call Maintenance Handyperson - Residential Housing
Immediate Opening.
The current need is for a ON-CALL Maintenance Handyperson to work in Burlington, ON.
Position: Maintenance Handyperson (not live i n) - Residential Housing -- ON-CALL (do not apply if you are looking for full-time employment). Selected person must have insurance and WSIB.
The Primary Role Of The Maintenance Handyperson Is To
Complete approved maintenance work orders in a residential housing community within the established timelines.
Maintain the physical condition of the housing community property, equipment, building, and facilities.
Maintain, service, and repair all equipment and facilities.
Maintain the storage yard and shed to established standards.
Conduct routine scheduled property inspections.
Schedule and coordinate on-site contractors for approved services.
Complete and submit all required reports (property inspection, inventory, work order status, etc.).
Assist and support the Management Office Staff when required.
Work to be performed does not include work that requires a license (plumbing, electrical, etc.).

Key Qualifications
Medium-level plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and electrical skills.
Fluent verbal English and effective writing skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Successfully pass a police vulnerable sector background check.
Pay: The rate is $25-35 per hour based on skills and experience.
