We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Market Research Analyst to lead market research efforts for Hydro Transmission opportunities and Telecom construction services to join our team. This role will be responsible for analyzing industry trends, identifying business opportunities, and providing actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market research and data analysis. This role will work out of our Elmira, ON head office.

You will:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, growth opportunities, and competitive landscape in Hydro Transmission and Telecom construction services.
  • Analyze regulatory frameworks, market demand, and investment trends affecting the industry.
  • Develop forecasting models and business intelligence reports to support sales and business development strategies.
  • Gather and interpret data from various sources, including government reports, industry publications, and competitor analysis.
  • Collaborate with business development, production, and engineering teams to align research findings with strategic initiatives.
  • Identify potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand market reach and enhance business development efforts.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry shifts that impact Hydro Transmission and Telecom construction services.
  • Create presentations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings effectively to executive leadership for TSF North.
  • Support proposal development and bid strategies through data-driven insights.

You will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in market research, data analysis, or business intelligence within the energy or telecom infrastructure sectors is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Excellent research, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of Hydro Transmission systems, Telecom infrastructure, and related construction services.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and present actionable recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a corporate or consulting environment.
