MatchBox Consulting is seeking a Managing Broker for our client, a leading commercial real estate brokerage based in Vancouver.

The Managing Broker will lead and grow our client’s team of commercial real estate brokers. This leadership role combines sales management, recruitment, compliance oversight, and strategic planning . You’ll work closely with operations, conveyance, and compliance teams to ensure the brokerage continues to meet its fiscal, legal, and organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide sales leadership by coaching brokers on deal strategies, client management, and negotiation best practices.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top commercial real estate talent to grow the brokerage across asset classes.
• Monitor broker performance and KPIs, offering feedback and resources to drive success.
• Represent the brokerage at real estate boards, development councils, and industry events to build profile and network.
• Collaborate with compliance and conveyance teams to ensure legal and regulatory adherence.
• Resolve complaints and handle escalations related to deals, clients, and licensee concerns.
• Offer guidance on contracts, documentation, and transactional issues to mitigate risk.
• Support the brokerage in preparing for trust audits, BCFSA audits, and Fintrac compliance.
• Participate in strategic planning with senior leadership to align broker operations with business growth.
• Identify and execute on opportunities for market expansion and new service offerings.

Requirements

• Active Managing Broker License in the Province of British Columbia (non-negotiable).
• 5–7 years in commercial real estate preferred; 3–4 years acceptable for high-performing candidates.
• Proven leadership experience or strong sales management skills in a brokerage environment.
• Experience with development land, investment sales, or multifamily transactions is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to inspire, lead, and retain top performers.
• In-depth knowledge of Metro Vancouver real estate trends, zoning, and valuation principles.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate contracts, deal complexities, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in real estate CRMs, AI tools, and financial modeling software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field; REIBC/CCIM designation is a plus.
• Full-time in-office availability in Vancouver.
