POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Regular (37.5 hours/week)

Lumenus Community Services is looking for a Manager, Adult Transitional and Crisis Supports. T he Manager provides oversight for staff working in the GCSN program. You will provide strong clinical skills and systems knowledge, focusing on adults with a developmental disability, ages 16yrs and older and their families. The manager is responsible for providing high quality clinical supervision to staff within a productive and inclusive work environment to support service provision to clients with challenging needs. Key components of the manager’s responsibility include supporting staff/teams in the development and understanding of the case management, clinical formulations, appropriate supports and evaluation with respect to accessible service delivery for diverse adults and their families/caregivers . The GCSN manager will also develop and maintain appropriate external linkages with a range of community partners and develop and implement collaborative partnerships with other community agencies and services to meet the complex needs of those we support.

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Participate in the visioning, creation and implementation of an integrated and accessible service across Lumenus, including various communities of practice;
  • Provide supervisory oversight of staff, including day-to-day service delivery, professional development, and performance management, while maintaining the values and vision of Lumenus;
  • Support staff in understanding clinical issues impacting clients with challenging needs, and the development of formulations which inform service direction;
  • Ensure staff participate in the development and evaluation of accessible services for diverse adults and their families, while considering the social determinants of health and experiences of systemic oppression;
  • Promote and strengthen collaborative service from evidence informed, interdisciplinary, and outcome driven perspective;
  • Provide direction and oversight of staff activities related to advocacy and system navigation;
  • Ensure that services are delivered in a flexible and adaptive manner including the delivery of services in the client home, community, school, partner agencies, courts, etc.;
  • Work collaboratively with community partners in service delivery, and address community needs to build capacity;
  • Respond to societal trends, client needs, and local community issues through the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of effective services and outreach related to developmental concerns, mental health and substance use within a community capacity building and anti-racism/anti-oppression analysis and practice;
  • Assume on-call/management coverage responsibilities as assigned;
  • Experience in mental health/substance abuse, developmental service sector service provision (intake, assessment of needs, developing formulations, collaborative service planning, trauma informed care, groups, outreach and educational presentations);
  • Experience with engagement, support and service provision to transitional aged youth, adults, their families/caregivers from diverse communities.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Above-average verbal and written communication skills, including report and training material writing with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of professional and community partners.
  • Strong team building and collaboration skills.
  • A good understanding of anti-black-racism and anti-oppressive practice.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and client record software.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize with competing deadlines.
  • Ensure appropriate use of financial resources by maintaining expenditures within budgeted amounts, participate in the reporting of service data and targets to stakeholders.
  • Participate in leadership of the organization by attending meetings and contributing to the direction setting of the Agency.
  • Assume other program and services duties, as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

 

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct client service experience with strengths-based, bio-pyscho-social, systems and anti-racism/anti-oppression model of practice, and a strong understanding of mental health and development disabilities.
  • Experience providing supervision or leadership within a team .
