Job Overview:
As a Manual machinist, you will be responsible for operating manual machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.  This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual machines such as milling machines, lathes, and grinders
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers to ensure accuracy of finished parts.
• Preform machining operations including drilling, turning, milling, and grinding.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and make necessary adjustments.
• Assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in operating milling machines, lathes, grinders and other manual machines is required.
• Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques and processes.
• Experience writing G programs for 3-5 axis milling centers is a plus.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of Fanuc programming is preferred but not required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
