Responsibilities :

• Bridge   between Japanese and global IT teams, ensuring business objectives are met with sensitivity to Japanese communication styles and decision-making frameworks.
• Contribute to strategic planning at the local and regional IT leadership level, helping shape the roadmap.
• Drive implementation of the Transformation.
• Lead cross-cultural change management efforts, ensuring local buy-in and minimizing disruption.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with significant time spent in global IT environments running transformation, service delivery, or strategic programs.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written); able to comfortably operate in formal Japanese business settings.
• Experience working with Global IT delivery teams in India; including in governance.
• Experience working in or with Japanese insurers or international firms operating in Japan.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, TOGAF) are a plus.
• Experience in QA (Testing) is a plus.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Track record of enabling enterprise agility, IT cost optimization, and global standardization without losing local business alignment.
• Able to effectively navigate matrixed, multicultural organizations with stakeholders in multiple geographies.
• Adept at managing diverse perspectives in high-stakes transformation environments.
• Strong curiosity and awareness of emerging technologies and industry innovations.

Language Requirements: Business level Japanese with Business English conversation skill.
