Role Summary

Terus Construction, a Division of Colas Western Canada Inc. is looking to hire a Labourer for our operations in Smithers, BC – Bulkley Valley.

Main Responsibilities

• General labourer duties associated with road construction operations
• Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools
• May be called upon to run small power tools
• Operate equipment as needed
• Yard, plant and equipment clean up as needed
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials
• Follow instructions from your supervisor or manager
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Experience

• Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent preferred.
• Physically able to work general labour

Requirements

• Overtime as required
• Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
• Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry 50 LBS as needed
• Use of personal protection equipment is required
• Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements

Compensation

The anticipated wage range for this position is $28.50-$35.50/hr. The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
