SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Responsibilities will vary depending on the department but may include:

  • Using your expertise to develop best-in-class engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects
  • Working with both conventional methodologies and developing new approaches
  • Developing drawings using AutoCad along with in-house software tools
  • Developing calculations, visualizations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documents
  • Ensuring efficient execution that delivers the right results for the customer
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education & Experience

  • Experience in engineering operation practices and systems, Heavy lift and transport equipment, industry-relevant codes and standards
  • English, fluent proficiency verbal and written
  • Evidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors: civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports and mining
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience
  • A diploma in Engineering Technology
  • Eligible for registration with ASET as Technologist-in-training

  • Plant turnaround logistics
  • Decommissioning of onshore and offshore installations
  • Trading in new and used equipment worldwide
  • 30 metric ton overhead cranes through the shop
  • 6 drive through bays, drive through wash bay
  • Fitness/change room at facility

About our region

This will be a permanent position operating out of Edmonton office and local sites working Monday to Friday with possible rotational shift requirements. The successful candidate must have his or her own transportation.
