ATCO Frontec is seeking casual on-call Red Seal Journeyman Electricians to join our ATCO Facility Solutions team in Edmonton AB . The Journeyman Electrician will oversee the maintenance inspections modifications and installation/dismantling of electrical systems across our construction/Maintenance projects.

Where We Work and Live:

ATCO Frontec provides construction preventative and corrective maintenance services for our customers throughout Alberta. Our maintenance teams are mobile and travel will be required in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems in new and existing construction/Maintenance projects.
• Install conduits and wiring through walls floors and ceilings.
• Installing and terminating electrical equipment and fixtures
• Ensure all installations repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues using an appropriate testing device
• Generator (APU)and Transfer switch inspection and maintenance
• Training and mentoring apprentice electricians
• Generate Annual Panel/Transformer Maintenance reports.
• Should be able to pull necessary permits if required.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Certificate with a minimum of 3 years experience is required.

• Class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract is required.

• Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test Fit-to-Work Test and Extensive Background Check.

• Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Able to read drawings and schematics.

• Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety.

• Willing to travel.

This position has been identified as safety sensitive and will require completion of a pre-employment alcohol & drug test fit to work medical test background check and security clearance.
