POSITION SUMMARY:

As an IT Security Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting audits, risk management reviews, and third-party assessments to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's data and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate cybersecurity compliance risks, ensuring adherence to security frameworks and industry regulations.

Key responsibilities include managing cybersecurity compliance reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, documenting compliance efforts in detailed reports, and overseeing security initiatives to meet regulatory deadlines. You will also play a crucial role in protecting digital assets by proactively identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks before a data breach occurs. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to cybersecurity and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and analysis to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure organizational policies align with applicable cybersecurity laws and regulations.
  • Research and address attempted breaches while identifying security weaknesses.
  • Create and analyze security policies and procedures to strengthen infrastructure security.
  • Support and draft policies for internal and third-party audits to maintain cybersecurity standards.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity compliance policies for controls in:
  • SOC 1 & 2, PCI, GDPR, HIPAA, and PIPEDA.
  • Assist in security design during system development and ensure compliance post-deployment.
  • Keep the organization compliant with evolving cybersecurity regulations.
  • Make recommendations for enhancing data system security.
  • Ethically hack into company systems to anticipate and prevent future data breaches.
  • Conduct computer forensics analysis to gather evidence in case of security breaches.
  • Implement firewalls and security assurance measures to minimize risks.
  • Share knowledge and promote cybersecurity best practices across CP360's security infrastructure.
  • Stay updated on security trends, ethical hacking practices, and legal landscapes.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement access control, network security, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of control assessment techniques, including Questionnaires, on-site visits, and penetration tests. Experience in data protection, vulnerability management, and endpoint security.
  • Minimize negative impact of security breach by shifting security measures for future prevention and creating information assurance and firewalls.

MINIMUM/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree in compliance or equivalent work experience in the compliance field.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with internal and external teams while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Professional accreditation in IT security or related certifications are an asset, along with familiarity with CrowdStrike and Darktrace.
  • Must be able to run internal and external vulnerability scans.
  • Must be familiar with system logging tools.
  • 2 - 5 years' experience as an IT security analyst.
  • Proven track record in working with internal and external team members while meeting tight timelines.
  • Knowledge of SSO and AD Authentication
  • Familiarity with security governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks, including PCI, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 1 & 2.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage relationships with business units and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver compliance-related projects.
