INTERN, SOCIAL MEDIA - TIGER-CATS

Term: April 27th, 2026 - November 27th, 2026

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our marketing team as a Social Media Intern. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to digital campaigns, support game-day experiences, and help grow the Tiger-Cats brand.

As a Social Media Intern, you will play an integral role in the planning and execution of marketing initiatives for the 2026 season. You’ll support social media strategy, digital campaigns, and fan engagement efforts while gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about sports, marketing, and creative storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on social media initiatives to drive engagement, including contests, campaigns, and content creation.
  • Monitor social media channels and online mentions related to the Tiger-Cats and relevant keywords, providing insights and reports.
  • Support the creation of engaging digital content, including social posts, graphics, and videos, aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Conduct research to help develop and plan marketing initiatives and the content calendar.
  • Compile campaign reports, analyzing performance metrics and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as maintaining and organizing files, data entry, and other duties as required.

Additional Requirements

  • Availability for the entire internship duration (May – November 2026).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and all home games for Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
  • Must have access to a vehicle and drivers license for travel to games and events.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university program and eligible to receive academic course credit for this internship.

Compensation

Interns will receive a $300 per month stipend, with a $700 honorarium following the completion of their seven-month internship. Interns who complete a four-month internship will receive a $350 honorarium. Interns will be paid $95 for Hamilton Tiger-Cats games and $65 for Forge FC matches.
