Job Description

Join our team of 2 advisors and 9 assistants.  Your primary responsibilities will be to help process insurance business  from applications to placement. Existing insurance industry experience is very, very necessary.  This position is not an entry level position.  

-Any relevant experience in investment, banking, insurance, or mutual fund industries is useful
-A good understanding of the differences between various insurance products (term insurance, whole life, universal life, PAR, Non-PAR) is required
-Self-motivated; organized; possess excellent telephone skills; be a stickler for detail, accuracy, and follow-up; and be able to balance multiple tasks at once.  Time management, meeting deadlines, and dealing with noise and interruptions are an unfortunate part of the job.  Candidate needs to be a good listener; have empathy for client concerns
-Proficient in Microsoft office applications Word, Excel, Outlook, and online apps
-Office equipment (multi-line phone system, fax, photocopier, email)

Insurance Duties:
-Assist in the taking of insurance applications
-Gather and complete the required documents to complete a transaction
-Arrange medical requirements for clients
-Filing the appropriate documents when done
-Be aware of industry regulations and Head Office processing requirements
-Complete estate settlement requirements for deceased clients
General Duties:
-    Writing and typing letters, memos, and correspondence
-    Preparing and maintaining color-coded filing system; filing documents
-    Maintaining internal lists, spreadsheets, and databases
-    Maintaining client statement database with Head Office
-    Preparing mailers for bulk mail-outs; managing incoming and outgoing mail
-Make phone calls to and from clients and insurance companies
-Answer/respond to client and insurance company emails and faxes
