Summary: HR Director Role

The HR Director will oversee and implement HR strategies across Japan, serving as the primary contact for driving global inclusive leadership and equity initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance with local labor laws, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership : Develop and align HR strategies with corporate goals; partner with leadership on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational design.
2. Talent Management : Oversee recruitment, employee development, performance management, and local training programs.
3. Global Engagement : Collaborate with global HR teams to promote inclusivity, employee engagement, and cultural improvement.
4. Compliance & Risk : Ensure adherence to Japanese labor laws, manage HR-related risks, and handle employee relations.
5. Compensation & Benefits : Implement competitive pay structures and manage local reward programs in collaboration with global teams.
6. Change Management : Lead HR efforts during organizational changes like mergers or restructuring.
7. Metrics & Reporting : Analyze HR data to measure effectiveness and prepare reports for regional and corporate leaders.
8. Team Leadership : Guide and manage local HR personnel for consistent service delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• 8+ years of HR experience.
• Fluent in Japanese and English (business level).
• Expertise in compensation strategies and knowledge of local employment laws.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
