As a leading Residential Treatment Center in the Greater Richmond area, Hallmark Youthcare treats adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues triggered by trauma. Treatment is provided in a warm and friendly environment by a group of well-trained, highly motivated staff that takes pride in delivering quality care.

We are currently looking for a  Housekeeper; under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor the Housekeeper must provide clean, sanitary comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings throughout department and Facility, maintaining the highest standards. The housekeeper promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infection and odors.

Pay: $15-$16hr (plus $1 - $2 shift differentials)

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Facility Cleanliness
  • Completes all job assignments in a timely manner.
  • Performs checkout cleaning of resident rooms to include bathroom fixtures, beds, floors, and walls.
  • Completes assigned housekeeping activities on a daily basis to maintain high cleanliness standard.
  • Maintains control of all housekeeping supplies and equipment throughout the Facility, noting inventory needs to supervisor.
  • Distributes, stores, and collects linen in accordance with Facility policy daily.
  • Provides service to all residents, visitors, staff and guests with dignity and respect consistently.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and privacy of residents’ personally identifiable health information at all times in accordance with HIPAA privacy rules and Facility policy.
  • All required safety education programs have been attended.
  • Provides complete and accurate responses to safety questions.
  • Provides complete and accurate responses to Codes (Blue, Green, Grey, Orange, Yellow, Red).
  • Operates assigned equipment and performs all procedures in a safe manner as instructed.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in condition required by department standards.

Competencies:

  • Must have knowledge of housekeeping practices and be proficient with major institutional housekeeping equipment.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to do extensive walking.
  • Must possess the ability to deal fairly and objectively with employees.
  • Must be willing to meet departmental goals within the timeframe given.

Requirements:

  • Must have one (1) year housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills required to provide appropriate services or care to the specific ages served: adolescents 11 to 17 years old preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
