Canadian Health Labs (CHL)seeks a  Home Care Nurse to provide nursing and support services to the elderly, chronically ill and disabled.  Patients throughout the life cycle. Home Care Nurses promote optimal levels of functioning in activities of daily living. The position also provides support and training to home care support staff.

This is a  TRAVEL role. Applicant must be willing to be deployed in Nunavut for 30 days or more. We offer flexible agreement lengths, with long-term deployment incentives available. All travel and accommodation costs are 100% covered by CHL.

 

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

• Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; registered in good standing with a provincial governing body.
• Two (2) years of experience in a related position.
• Demonstrated knowledge of patient and family-centred care.
• Proficient clinical skills in assessment, physical examination, and nursing intervention.
• Ability to establish relationships based on mutual respect and trust.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and recognize when consultation is needed.
• Microsoft Windows-based programs competency.
• Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
• Ability to communicate in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages is an asset. 

  CERTIFICATIONS  

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination as per provincial Covid-19 Immunization and Management Policy.
Criminal records and vulnerable sector checks will be required.
